Pixlr

I agree - GIMP is the freeware equivalant to photoshop, so it does all. You don’t have to have a Pixlr account to use the editing tools. However, if you want to save your images to Pixlr’s online service so you can work on them later, an account will be necessary. Here’s how to create one: Click Sign up at the top-right corner of the page. Fill out the form and click OK.

But resizing an image is a crucial and most common skill that requires everyday life if you are a blogger.

As a blogger, you already know the big size image can cause slow speed which is considered as a crucial ranking factor.

Google ranks your website down if your website takes too much time to load.

How to Resize an Image in Pixlr X (Method 1)

Step 1. Visit on Pixlr E

First, go to the official page of Pixlr E. It seems like the below screenshot.

From the homepage, tap on the Open Image button.

When you click there, it brings you to your gallery. From there, choose a photo you want to resize.

Here is the picture I want to change the size.

You can see on the right navigation bar that shows the width and height of my photo.

The width and height of the image is according to 1500 x 2000. But I wish to change the size to 750 x 1000.

To do that, head over to the next step.

Step 2. Go to Image > Image Size

From the top navigation bar, choose Image > Image Size. It opens a new dialogue box like this:

Put your desired value or photo dimension on the width and height box.

As I want to change the image size to 750 x 1000, I put these values there to get the exact output.

Next, tap on the Apply button to save the image dimension.

Now, take your eye to the right navigation bar again. Can you see the difference?

It shows me that my image size is changed to my desire photo size.

Step 3. Save the photo

As I am satisfied with the result, I am going to save it.

To save the picture, click on File > Save as. Then, you can see the Save Image dialogue box the looks like this:

From there, you can change your file name. Also, choose the desire file format to save your photo.

I recommend you to choose the jpeg if you wish to use it on your website.

Then, adjust the Quality slider button to 80.

And finally, click on the download button to save it to your computer.

How to Resize an Image in Pixlr E (Method 2)

Step 1. Import your photo in Pixlr E

Open the image you want to change the size following the same way as I did in step 1 of method 1.

Step 2. Choose the crop tool

In this step, select the crop tool from the left toolbar menu.

When you choose the tool, you can see a border around the photo like this below screenshot.

From there, adjust the constraint to Ratio. Next, put your desired value in the Width and Height box.

For example, I put the value according to 750 x 1000.

Then, click on the Apply button to save the change. Next, go to File > Image Size and put the value again. Finally, tap on the Apply button to get the desired result.

Step 3. Save the change

Follow the same way as I did in step 3 of Method 1 to save your photo.

Thus it.
